This fine clock is made the 2nd part of the 19th century by Japy-Paris, around 1880.Finest veined red marble case parts with gilt bronze scrolls ornaments, a birds couple in top, side scrolls with flowerals, roses, shells and heavy feet. The pendulum with face/sunburst-bob, glass front door, brass back door. White porcelain enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and pierced hands.French clockwork with pendulum, about 8 days going work, striking the 1/1 and ½ hours on a silvered bell. Good running and striking condition, wind-up key included. The back platine with goldmedal of Japy&Cie and 1878.Measurements : widest 14”, depth 8”, high 25", dial diam. 5.5”.
