Here's an amazing piece of horologic art that's coming out of my collection. Appeals both to the military memorabilia collector (backside of lug is marked with an H for Deutsche Herr, German Army) and to historic racing fans because this watch is also known as the "Jim Clark" for he wore this type of Gallet when racing at the Indianapolis 500 in the 60s. Good to excellent overall condition. All stainless steel case has some light scratches here and there. No major dings or dents. Original black dial has some fading but is a great vintage patina. Has 30 minute and 12 hour recorder subdials as well as a running seconds subdial. Chrome plated hands are very nice and original to the watch. 17 jewel, column wheel, Excelsior Park movement is extremely clean, running strong and keeping excellent time. You have to see this movement in person to really appreciate it's beauty. All chronograph functions work fine except that sometimes when you press the top button to start, the large second hand will jump counter clockwise 15 seconds. Usually, with a good firm push, this does not happen. I'm sure it good use a professional service at some point. It's fitted with a new old stock, 20 mm Hadley Roma black leather band with chrome buckle. Study the photos carefully. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions. Please note that I do not ship to Italy or China. Check out the low starting price!!!
