Very beautiful and very hard to find in this condition SUPERB Seiko bullhead reference 6138 - 0040 automatic chronograph men wristwatch made in the 1970s, exactly on November 1973. This watch is in truly mint, stunning condition, beautiful. 100% fully original. All pictures are fully original, never retouched as part of a better description process.
FUNCTIONS: Hour, minutes, 30/60 minute recorder, 12 hour recorder, 1/5 seconds divisions, water resistant (Not guaranteed. This is a vintage watch).
DIAL: Authentic and original Seiko Bullhead 6138 - 0040 chronograph dial. Authentic, 100% original, never refinished, repainted, retouched or replaced. Nice matte brown dial with subsidiary golden color subdials at 9 for 12 hour recorder, and at 3 for 30/60 minute recorder. Day and date at 6. Days are in two languajes: english and Spanish. Quick setting for days and dates. Original hands, all hands are original. White baton hands for hour and minutes, these hands are fully original, untouched, and are with original luminous material in beautiful clow working. authebntic and original baton hour indexes with original luminous material in beautiful glow working. Dial is: "SEIKO", "Chronograph", "Automatic", "Japan 6138", "-0060T" marked. 1/5 seconds divisions on outer dial. Thick slightly domed, almost flat crystal in excellent condition. Original brown external not revolving bezel with tachymeter scale numbers. This bezel is perfect, without scratches, and it is in beautiful good condition. It is not a replaced aftermarked bezel insert, it is genuine Seiko from November 1973. Surface is frosted finished, not plastic as aftermarket. Extremely hard to find in this condition.
CASE: Authentic and original Seiko Bullhead 6138 - 0040 case, it is a big tonneau shaped case made of fine and solid stainless steel. Hermetic screwed back case made of fine and solid stainless steel too. On external side it is "SEIKO", "Water resistant", "3N2780", "Japan J", Suwa symbol figure, "Stainless steel 6138 - 0040", marked. Case measures: 43,58 x 45,49 mm without crown. Hidden lugs. Original round 6138 - 0040 pushers, original crown. This case is excellent condition, beautiful, truly NEVER polished, all original edges and finished from Seiko factory, made in November 1973 are present, original finished too. Very hard to find in this never polished and excellent condition.
MOVEMENT: Authentic and original Seiko Bullhead ref 6138 - 0040 chronograph movement, it is a mechanical movement with an automatic winding system. Movement is "SEIKO", "Twenty-one 21 jewels", "6138B" (movement caliber) marked. This movement is in very beautiful high shining condition; it has been fully professionally serviced by master watchmakers recently. Fully original movement, like new. Mint. Movement is in beautiful shining condition. Movement is in excellent working condition.
STRAP: Beautiful authentic and original Seiko bracelet made of fine and solid stainless steel. Folding clasp made of fine and solid stainless steel too. On external side it is: "SEIKO" marked. Inside it is: "All stainless steel", "Japan Z" marked. Bracelet is in excellent condition, beautiful, never polished. This bracelet fits confortable up to 18 cms maximum wrist size.
